Sun sun sun sun sun. 🌞🌝☀️ We only have f Sun sun sun sun sun. 🌞🌝☀️ We only have few hours of daylight this time of year, and it has also rained nonstop for the last month and a half. This felt so blessed.
How are you doing with winter, if it is winter now where you live?

Boots: Jenon Leather, model Snowflake in custom shape. As always keeping my feet toasty warm.

Also: The internet isn't real. I have shown my local bike path many times, and while it is idyllic, it actually goes between a large condominium area and a busy road.
You just can't tell when it is all green.
It is still a nice area, though. 🙂
A gloomy afternoon storm. This is exactly why I ow A gloomy afternoon storm. This is exactly why I own a pair of jade and gold sparkle winter boots.
It is basically a survival technique for getting through dark, muddy, long winters

Boots are @jenon_leather Snowflake in custom shape and custom colours.
You find my guide to ordering customs from them, as a pinned post.

(The winters used to be snowy, but it seems to be a thing of the past. 🌍🥵 Now winter temperatures are often just above freezing point, which leaves us with months of this, my least favorite weather type...)
Now I am practising flipping the bird with my toes Now I am practising flipping the bird with my toes. 🤣 For real: Someone said that you can not move your toes one at a time.
I find it very fascinating how feet in conventional thinking - and in conventional shoes - are treated as a rigid slab, with the toes as evolutionary rudimentary leftovers.
Agile toes are, in fact, important for a natural and healthy gait, as well as for good alignment and posture in all of the body.
And as tiny as they are, it makes a difference to have strong and flexible toes.

It does reflect people who are so disconnected from their toes, that they can not move them individually. (The generalisation that then other people can't too, is of course just silly).
If you can not move your toes individually, or not much yet, then it is ok. Many years in conventional shoes have atrophied your toes, and your brain hasn't had to build good nerve connections to move them.

How to improve it? When you are just chilling anyway, then have fun with trying to move your toes. It can help to move your hands the way you want to move your toes, at the same time.
Or place a finger on the toe you want to move, so you have a sensory aid to help figure out that your toes exist.

You probably will get some cramping, as this is very new to your toes. It is ok. Just progress gradually to give your toes time to adjust.
Strong toes, happy toes. 👣
Felt hobbity, went for a walk. My new @realfoot_sh Felt hobbity, went for a walk.
My new @realfoot_shoes Farmer Winter did a good job of keeping me not slipping off this very slippery tree trunk.

Now I have taken them for some walks I can start reviewing them.

That toebox 😍 So so so wide.
But they are medium across the midfoot ("bunion point") and have a quite narrow heel. Good for pizza-shaped feet.
I am considering having the midfoot stretched a little.

They are good for walks and hikes above 0 C (freezing point). Then they keep my feet warm while not too warm, which is important in order to not get sweaty/clammy feet.
If standing still, I would say above 5-8 C*. They are not the warmest boots I own.

Oh, and they look good with a hobbity outfit. 😁

Happy New Year 🎉 from me and my barefoot accomp Happy New Year 🎉 from me and my barefoot accomplice.
We went for a refreshing walk in the rainy and muddy weather, both of us having toasty warm and dry feet.

Me in @jenonleather Snowflake, custom width in dark jade/gold sequin leather
And @sadyhr in @nonsbarefoot RB in black.

May your new year bring you well-fitting shoes that let your feet move naturally and flexibly.
